One amplifier, three ways to drive your speakers.
The mixer is set and the speakers stand ready. The EP4000 is the power between them, in two units of a 19" rack. MODE switches on the rear panel set the operating mode, the limiters and the high-pass filters.
Stereo, parallel or bridged
In 2-channel mode, each channel has its own input signal. Parallel mode feeds one input into both outputs. Each channel then keeps its own amplification, filter and limiter settings. Mono-bridged mode adds the voltage of both channels to drive a single 8 or 4 ohm load. Never apply a 2 ohm load when bridged.

Filters and limiters on each channel
Each channel has a clip limiter that you engage or disengage. It lowers amplification until distortion is reduced to a tolerable level. A high-pass filter removes frequencies below 30 or 50 Hz. The 30 Hz filter suits subwoofer operation. With broadband speakers, engage the 50 Hz filter.

Connections and cooling
Each channel takes balanced XLR or ¼" TRS. Speakers connect through two speaker connectors or two pairs of touch-safe binding posts. Fan speed adjusts automatically, and hot air leaves at the front to relieve the rack. A BREAKER replaces discardable fuses: clear the fault, switch off, press it and power up again.
