In a long hall, sound from the stage and from speakers out in the audience can arrive at different moments. This amplifier carries delay, crossover and EQ on board, set on its LCD. It weighs 3.6 kg and takes two rack units.
Line up every speaker in the room
On the DELAY screens, delay designated channels by 0 to 300 ms. That matches sound travelling outward from the stage to speakers placed out in the audience. PHASE switches between 0° and 180° to compensate for phase cancellation problems.
Split the signal where it belongs
On the I/O (Amp Mode) screen, choose BRIDGE, DUAL, STEREO, BIAMP1 or BIAMP2. The XOVER screen sets up to 2 crossover points and up to 10 filter curves for each output. The PEQ screen adds up to 8 parametric EQ filters.
Lock it before the next crew arrives
Press SETUP to save or load presets, lock the panel and set a password. It holds 20 presets, 19 of them user-definable. From a computer, the USB port connects to DSP control software from behringer.com.
