PMP4000

16-channel powered mixer with a multi-FX processor, FBQ feedback detection, 7-band graphic EQ and two monitor buses

Find the feedback before the room hears it.

The lectern mic starts to ring the moment someone steps forward. The choir cannot hear itself. You are the volunteer at the back, with one box to run it all. PMP4000 puts the mixer, the power amplifier and the effects in that box.

Feedback, shown on the faders

Switch on the 7-band graphic EQ, then press FBQ IN. Frequencies causing feedback light their fader LEDs brightly. Pull that fader down until the LED gets darker or goes out. FBQ works on the main and the monitor mix. The MAIN/MON 1 switch chooses which one the EQ processes.

One mix for the room, another for the stage

Channels feed two monitor buses through their MON and MON 2 controls. Set AMP MODE to MON 1/MONO, and OUTPUT A carries the monitor mix while OUTPUT B carries the main mix. Or run the mains in stereo, or bridge OUTPUT B into one speaker of at least 8 Ω. The MONO OUT feeds a subwoofer.

Voices, a band and the backing track

Mono channels take XLR microphones with +48 V phantom power or a line signal, and each has an insert. Stereo channels switch between ¼" jacks and RCA with the A/B button. The VOICE CANCELLER removes vocal frequencies from the CD/TAPE INPUT for karaoke. The 24-bit multi-effects processor adds reverb, chorus, flanger and delay.
