The music steps aside when someone speaks.
Music fills the space until someone needs the microphone. Then the music should make room, without anyone reaching for a knob. This zone mixer does that, and its LEFT and RIGHT buses can serve different rooms.
Speak and the music fades
THRESH on channel 1 sets the level at which signals are muted. Use it to fade out music as soon as someone talks into the microphone on channel 1. RIGHT MUTE keeps the RIGHT bus out of the mute, which helps when LEFT and RIGHT serve different zones.

Six balanced inputs, two RCA channels
Inputs 1 to 6 are balanced Euroblock connections with a -20 dB pad and 40 dB of maximum gain. Channels 7 and 8 use unbalanced RCA inputs, and CH SELECT activates channel 7 or 8. MIC LOW CUT removes rumble below 100 Hz. EQ ON switches in LOW, LOW MID, HIGH MID and HIGH controls for the LEFT and RIGHT buses.

Volume from elsewhere, inputs to spare
Connect a potentiometer, not included, to REMOTE and control the LEFT and RIGHT volume from another place. BUS LINKS joins two ZMX8210 mixers for more inputs. The mute of the master can also mute the buses of the slave.
