A club night rarely runs on two decks alone. An MC needs a mic, a sampler waits its turn, and another room needs the mix. The DX2000USB gives you two mono mic channels and five stereo music channels, plus USB input and output.
A crossfader with no audio inside
Music channels go to one of two stereo submixes, X and Y. The infinium optical crossfader is a VCA controller that blends them, and no audio signal passes through it. You can tailor its response to your feel. Beside it, the big X and Y PUNCH/CUT buttons chop one mix into the other.
Talk over the music, cue the next track
Press TALK OVER on a mic channel, and the music level drops automatically while you speak. PFL on every channel lets you hear and see the next track without disturbing the mix. All channels have signal present and clip LEDs.
A second mix for the next room
The ZONE output carries a second main mix with its own ZONE LEVEL control, for DJ foldback or another room. USB audio is stereo in and out, at 16-bit and 48 kHz. The mixer ships with optional rack ears: remove them for desktop use. It weighs 6.7 kg.
