Hard rock and metal riffs depend on gain that stays thick and holds a note. The UM300 uses dual-gain circuitry for thick, tube-like distortion and long sustain.
Carve the midrange to suit the riff
DIST sets the amount of distortion, and LEVEL sets the output. HIGH and LOW boost or cut the treble and bass. Two MID FREQ controls handle the middle. The upper one raises or lowers it. The control below sets the centre frequency, from 200 Hz to 5 kHz.
A tip from the manual
Extreme distortion and EQ settings will increase noise and may induce oscillation. Dial in only as much as the song needs.
Ready for the pedalboard
A footswitch turns the effect on and off. The ON/BATT LED lights when the effect is active and also shows battery level. Power it from a 9 V battery or a 9 V power supply, not included. Your guitar goes into the ¼" TS IN, and the ¼" TS OUT feeds your amp.
