One song wants a warm push, the next wants full saturation. This pedal suits electric guitars, and it covers both. You get overdrive, distortion or a combination of both effects.
One control between two sounds
The MODE control sets the balance between overdrive and distortion. In the leftmost position you get pure overdrive. In the rightmost position you get pure distortion.
Three more controls, nothing hidden
DRIVE sets the intensity of the effect. TONE shapes your overall sound, and LEVEL sets the output level. The footswitch turns the effect on and off.
Battery or power supply
The battery compartment underneath the pedal cover takes a 9 V battery. You can also use a 9 V power supply, not included, at the DC IN on the front. The ON/BATT LED lights when the effect is on and also shows the battery level. There is no on/off switch. Plugging into the IN connector starts the pedal, so unplug it to extend battery life.
