Put the sweep under your foot.
Flanging comes alive when it moves with the song: slow through a verse, faster as the chorus lifts. PEDAL FLANGER reproduces a guitar pedal first produced in the 1970s. Its FOOT PEDAL is how you play it.
Two ways to ride the sweep
In MANUAL mode, the FOOT PEDAL controls the flanger sweep directly. In AUTO mode, the unit moves the sweep for you, relative to the SPREAD and INTENSITY settings. The FOOT PEDAL then controls the rate. AUTO mode is capable of more extreme effects when the pedal is fully down.

From flange to rotary speaker
SPREAD sets the sweep range, from no audible sweep to a very wide one with an audible detuning. INTENSITY sets how far the signal is re-flanged. Further clockwise brings stronger resonance and some noticeable distortion. The effects reach past flanging into chorusing, vibrato and a rotary cabinet simulation. In the rotary preset, the pedal moves from a slow rotor to a fast one.

On and off with your toe
Plug your guitar into INPUT INST and connect OUTPUT AMP to the next piece of hardware. The BYPASS SWITCH sits under the foot pedal: press the toe end down until you hear a click. The red LED at the heel end glows when the effect is on. Bypass is true bypass, and a single 9 V battery can power it.
