Put a vintage analogue filter under your foot.
A clean chord can sound flat until something moves inside it. Your instrument goes into AUDIO IN, and AUDIO OUT feeds your amplifier. Turn CUTOFF anticlockwise from 12k and the filter cuts off more of the high frequencies.
Choose how the filter speaks
The FILTER switch selects 2-pole, which tends to sound brighter, or 4-pole, with a more mellow sound. RESONANCE sets how much the filter boosts harmonics near the threshold frequency. At high settings, the filter generates an additional tone that interacts with your instrument. MIX blends the dry and filtered signal.

Let the envelope do the sweeping
AMOUNT sets how much envelope reaches the filter: turn it clockwise for a wider sweep. SMOOTH evens out rough signal envelopes. FAST suits quick, sharp sounds such as snare drum. The ENV LED lights more brightly as the envelope voltage rises.

Control it with your feet, CV or MIDI
The CUTOFF, MIX, RESO and AMOUNT jacks take expression pedals or other voltage-based controllers. ENV OUT sends the envelope to other voltage-controlled devices. MIDI CC 16 to 19 override Amount, Cutoff, Mix and Resonance. Over USB C, the Guitar Tribe application controls parameters and updates firmware. The 9 V / 400 mA power supply is not included.
