RING STINGER

Ring modulator pedal with an octave fuzz mode, an onboard VCO with four waveforms and expression pedal inputs

Händler finden RING STINGER (0709-ALT)

Turn one note into bells, metal and fuzz.

Some parts need a sound no amp or overdrive can give. This pedal multiplies your signal with its own carrier oscillator. Beyond metallic tones, it gives octave-fuzz-like textures, bell-style overtones and synth-inspired timbres.

Two characters on one footswitch

OCT./RING MODE switches between ring modulation and octave fuzz. In RING mode, VCO FREQ sets the carrier and DRIVE(I) sets the level into the ring mod section. For bell-like tones, keep DRIVE low and pick a sine wave. In OCT. mode, DRIVE brings the octave further into the mix.

Let it move

LFO/UNLOCK starts or stops the LFO, and RATE sets its speed. Stop it and it freezes in an up or a down state. An expression pedal on VCO CV IN/PEDAL sweeps the carrier. A light jack there responds to movement, and with practice gives a theremin-like effect.

A synth voice of its own

VCO OUT lets the pedal act as a synthesiser, with one of 4 waveforms. CARRIER IN ring modulates two external signals. BLEND mixes dry and wet; keep some dry signal to preserve the bass. It runs on 9 V DC from the provided power adaptor.
