CRAVE

Semi-modular analogue synthesiser with a 3340 VCO, ladder filter, 32-step sequencer and Poly Chain for up to 16 voices

Händler finden CRAVE (0718-AAJ)

Your first pattern can be two notes long.

Every synth player starts somewhere. On CRAVE, you start with a pattern. Tap two or three notes into the 13-note keyboard, press play and an analogue voice repeats them. Then change one thing at a time: a longer gate, a glide or an accent. Listen to what each one does.

Learn the voice knob by knob

One 3340 oscillator switches between pulse and reverse sawtooth. Pulse width runs from narrow through square to wide. Blend in noise and send it all through the ladder filter, low-pass or high-pass at 24 dB per octave. An envelope or a square or triangle LFO moves the cutoff.

Patterns that grow with you

Patterns run up to 32 steps, and 64 of them fit in 8 banks of 8. Add swing, or ratchets that split a step into up to 4 hits. Play a pattern in reverse. Hold some notes and the arpeggiator plays them in one of 8 orders.

From one CRAVE to sixteen voices

Patch 3.5 mm cables to reroute the signal or steer it with control voltages. A MIDI keyboard on 5-pin DIN or a computer on class-compliant USB can play it. Link several CRAVE units in a Poly Chain and they play as one instrument with up to 16 voices.
