2-XM

Analogue synthesiser with 4 VCOs, 2 multi-mode VCFs, 2 LFOs, 4 envelopes and a 32-jack patchbay in Eurorack format

Händler finden 2-XM (0718-ABA)

Two voices you can stack, split or chain.

A bass line under a lead. Both voices stacked on one note. A chord spread across a second unit. The 2-XM gives you two complete analogue voices, XM1 and XM2. Each has two VCOs, its own filter, two envelopes and an LFO.

Unison, duo or split

Set ASSIGN to UNISON and both voices play the same note when you play one. In SPLIT, XM1 plays below the split point, C4 by default, and XM2 plays above. In DUO, they respond to one MIDI channel or to separate channels, set in SynthTribe. XM1 and XM2 each have a level control for the master mix and a pan control for the stereo field.

A filter with more than one shape

With the RESPONSE switch on LP-HP, the NOTCH control sweeps each VCF from low pass through notch to high pass. The BP position gives a band pass filter. Set the pulse width from 10% to 90%, and sync VCO2 to VCO1.

Patch it, rack it, chain it

A patchbay of 32 jacks brings CV and gate in and out, plus separate VCO, VCF and VCA audio outputs. The 2-XM can leave its chassis for a standard Eurorack case (not supplied), at 80 hp. Leave that job to an experienced service technician. With firmware V1.2.2, two units give 4-voice polyphony and three give 6 voices.
