An outside sound can play this synth.
A keyboard is not the only way to play the K-2 MK II. An external audio signal can be filtered, followed and turned into control signals. Patch those into the synth and the outside sound starts to steer it.
Your audio, through its circuits
The External Signal Processor takes audio at SIGNAL IN and sets its level. A band-pass filter shapes it. A frequency-to-voltage converter, an envelope follower and a trigger output then turn it into signals you can patch.

High-pass and low-pass, side by side
High-pass and low-pass filters each have a 24 dB/octave slope and their own peak control. The FILTER 1/2 switch selects between two filter types. VCO 2 can sync to VCO 1, frequency-modulate it or join it in ring modulation.

Patch over the printed lines
The patch bay works as an interactive block diagram. Printed lines show the internal connections, and patching blocks together overrides them. Pink and white noise, sample and hold, and both envelopes have their own jacks.

One voice or a chain
The K-2 MK II is monophonic, and its 16-voice Poly Chain links further K-2 units. At 80HP, it also fits a standard Eurorack case (case not supplied).
