A small Eurorack case fills up fast, and every new patch asks for one more envelope or LFO. STEPS is a six-step modulation processor. Use each step on its own, or chain the steps in combination.
One step, many jobs
Every step has an identical set of controls. Hold a MODE button for two seconds and the step loops, giving an LFO effect. In green mode, SHAPE turns the wave from sawtooth through triangle to trapezoid. The rate runs from 0.125 Hz to 32.5 Hz. Hold MODE for more than three seconds and the step becomes a tunable VCO.
Chain steps into shapes and patterns
A gate of more than +1.5 V at the first step of a combination makes the steps advance. Four steps make an ADSR envelope, two an AR envelope. Set any number of steps to orange, with combination looping, for a simple sequencer. For a complex sequencer, set the first step to green or red and the rest to orange. SHAPE/TIME then plays the sequence forward, backward, pendulum, bouncing or random.
Room to grow with your rack
Link up to six STEPS modules for up to 36 steps. Each module still needs its own connection to the rack power supply. The 14 hp module comes with its power cable and mounting screws.
