Press harder and the pad opens up.

The ballad is ending and you hold the last chord a little longer. Lean into the keys and the sound leans back. On the JN-80, aftertouch can open the filter, add vibrato or raise the volume. A pad grows under your fingers instead of sitting still.

Eight analogue voices that stay in tune

Each voice has two oscillators with saw, pulse and a sub square an octave below. They are fully analogue but digitally controlled, so they are not prone to tuning instability. Play all 8 voices as chords, or stack them in duo, quad or unison mode with detune.

Filter first, then two choruses

The 24 dB/octave filter self-oscillates at full resonance. A separate high-pass filter thins the low end when a pad needs space. Chorus I is subtle and slower, chorus II faster and more extreme. Stack both for a stronger effect.

Patches you can find again

Store up to 400 patches and put favourites on 4 assignable preset recall buttons. The next song's sound is one press away. The arpeggiator spans up to three octaves with swing. It follows its own rate, MIDI, USB or the sync input.
