Your synth and your mic, one clean connection.
A synth on the left, a vocal mic on the right, a compressor you saved up for on the shelf. The UMC204HD connects all of it to your computer through one USB cable, which powers it too.
Bring the keyboards in.
5-pin DIN MIDI in and out connect keyboards, controllers and sound modules, with LEDs showing MIDI activity. No separate MIDI box on the desk.
Put the compressor on the vocal.
Both combination XLR/¼" inputs run through Midas-designed preamps, with switchable +48 V phantom power for a condenser vocal mic, and a line/instrument selector takes a synth or guitar directly. A ¼" TRS insert on each input puts your compressor in the path before the recording. Capture at 24-bit, up to 192 kHz.
Monitoring that keeps up with the vocal.
The mix knob balances your live vocal against computer playback, and you hear it with zero latency. Check the inputs in mono with one switch, and use monitor A/B to send playback 3 and 4 to your headphones. Two ¼" TRS main outputs feed studio monitors, and four RCA playback outputs add a second monitoring option.
