Four mics on the kit, four tracks to mix.
Your drummer finally nailed the part. Now record it properly: kick, snare and a pair of overheads, each on its own track.
Four mics, four tracks.
Each of the four combination XLR/¼" inputs has its own Midas-designed preamp, with switchable +48 V phantom power for condenser overheads and a pad on every input for a loud kick or snare. Capture the take at 24-bit, up to 192 kHz.
Your outboard gear, in the signal path.
Four ¼" TRS insert points put your external processors on inputs 1 to 4, so their sound is part of the recording.
A cue mix for the drummer.
Turn the mix knob to balance the live kit against the computer track; the kit itself reaches your headphones with zero latency. Flip monitor A/B and the headphones play channels 3 and 4 instead of 1 and 2, so the drummer can follow a separate cue. Main outputs on XLR and ¼" TRS drive your studio monitors, and 5-pin MIDI brings in a keyboard for the next overdub.
