Bring the bass straight to the mixing desk.
Many keyboards have no balanced outputs. Some guitars cannot go straight into a mixing console because their impedance is too high. That is the job of a DI box. The DI20 is active, so its very high input impedance does not influence the signal. Its balanced, low output impedance makes the signal far less prone to noise.
Two channels, or one signal split
In 2-CH mode, two independent signals connect to channels 1 and 2. In LINK mode the DI20 works as a splitter. One signal into channel 1 becomes two balanced signals, plus an unbalanced feed for an additional amplifier.

One bass, two destinations
The standard application: a bass guitar feeds a guitar amp unbalanced and the mixing console balanced, in LINK mode. A DJ mixer or another unbalanced line level source works too.

From pickup to amplifier speaker output
The ATTENUATION switch selects 20 or 40 dB. It covers a high-impedance microphone or guitar, up to the speaker connectors of a solid-state guitar amplifier. Depending on how your other gear is grounded, the GROUND switch can eliminate ground loops. Run it on 18 V to 48 V DC phantom power or a 9 V battery.
