Your bass in the PA, your amp still on stage.
Very few microphones can carry a bass guitar's low end at high levels. DI400P takes the signal from the cable instead. The mixer gets your instrument directly, while your amp on stage keeps its own feed.
One cable in, two places to go
The two PARALLEL IN/OUT jacks (¼" TS) are wired in parallel. Plug the instrument into one and loop the signal to your amp from the other. The balanced mic-level XLR OUTPUT goes to the mixer's mic input. Using effects? Insert the DI400P after them, so the PA and the recording hear them too.

When the hum starts
If the connected gear brings hum or a ground loop, the GND LIFT switch fully separates input and output grounding. The OT-2 transformer matches the signal with a 110 : 1 impedance ratio and a -20 dB level change. Keyboards without balanced outputs connect the same way. The DI400P can also take speaker outputs of up to 3,000 watts, in a metal case of 0.2 kg.
