Send each speaker driver its own band.
Your PA has separate boxes for lows, mids and highs, and each amplifier channel should get only its share. The CX3400 V2 splits the signal as a stereo 2-way or 3-way crossover, or as a mono 4-way. Two MODE buttons on the rear panel select the mode; switch the whole system off before you press them. LEDs above the active controls then show which ones are in use.
Set the split, then line it up
The XOVER FREQ. controls set each crossover frequency, with 24 dB/oct. Linkwitz-Riley filters. DELAY holds the Low signal back by as much as 2 ms to align the speaker systems in phase. Every output has its own gain, phase invert and mute.

Look after the horns and woofers
LOW CUT activates a 25 Hz high-pass filter that protects the woofers against low-frequency signals. CD HORN corrects the High band for constant-directivity horns. LIMITER activates all limiters, and THRESHOLD sets their threshold. When the signal passes it, the LIM-LEDs light and the output level is cut back.

One subwoofer feed from stereo lows
In stereo mode, LOW SUM routes both Low paths to the Low output of channel 1. That is useful in systems with additional subwoofers.
