A session runs on small decisions: which speakers, how loud, and what the players hear. The CONTROL2USB gives each of them its own control. It sits between your DAW interface, your monitors and the headphones in the room.
Three monitor outputs, one knob
MONITOR SELECT switches the speakers on outputs A, B or C. VOLUME sets their level and leaves the recording, phones and studio outputs alone. DIM lowers them by 20 dB, and MUTE silences the signal going to them. MONO folds the stereo signal to mono. Rear trim knobs balance the three outputs.
Talkback that reaches everyone
The built-in TALKBACK microphone, with automatic gain control, goes to the phones and studio outputs. A second button sends it to the 2-TRACK A, B and DAW outputs. STUDIO OUT feeds speakers in a separate recording space. Each front PHONES jack has its own volume control. A footswitch input takes a remote talkback switch.
Record while you play back
Over USB the unit works as a 2-in/2-out soundcard at 44.1 or 48 kHz. Inputs 1, 2 and 4 record individually or mixed together. INPUT 3 cannot be recorded via USB. So press SOURCE SELECT 3 to hear your computer's playback without a feedback loop. INPUT 4 takes a phonograph on RCA jacks, with a LINE/PHONO switch.
