Your studio may be a spare room rather than a treated control room. The B2031A gives you switches that adapt the speaker to where it stands and to how the room behaves.
Tune it to your room
ROOM COMPENSATION adjusts the speaker depending on its set-up position. HIGH FREQUENCY adapts the frequency response to the damping characteristics of your control room. LOW FREQUENCY adapts the woofer to a subwoofer system. It can also emulate the sound characteristics of small speaker systems.
From the low end to the top
A ferrofluid-cooled dome tweeter and a polypropylene woofer cover a frequency response of 50 Hz to 21 kHz. The cabinet measures 400 x 250 x 290 mm and weighs 14 kg.
Connect and set the level
The balanced inputs are laid out as ¼" TRS and XLR connectors. INPUT TRIM adapts the input sensitivity to your signal source. POWER MODE toggles between ON, OFF and AUTO power-up modes. The LIMIT LED lights up as soon as one of the built-in protections is activated.
