BC1200

7-piece drum microphone set with bass drum, tom and cymbal mics for studio and live applications

Where to buy BC1200 (0503-AAD)

Mic the whole kit for the next gig.

The band sounds great in rehearsal, then the drums disappear on stage. This 7-piece set covers the bass drum, the toms and snare, and the cymbals, for live and studio work alike.

Kick: attack or resonance

Set the KM1200 bass drum mic on a short microphone stand, just inside the kick drum port. Aim it at the beater for more attack. Aim it towards the far edge of the drum for a more resonant tone.

Toms and snare on the hoop

Screw a mounting clip onto each TM1200 and attach it to the hoop of a tom or snare drum. Distance and angle to the drum head are adjustable. Point each mic towards the centre of the head.

Cymbals from above

Fit the CM1200 cymbal mics to a pair of tripod boom stands. Place each about 1 m above the ride cymbal and hi-hat. Or set both above the snare in an XY pattern, one aimed at the ride, the other at the hi-hat. They need 48 V phantom power from your mixer or interface.
