Change how it listens with one switch.
One day you record your own vocal. The next it is a single instrument, or an interview with two voices. The C-3 is a large-diaphragm condenser with a double membrane, so it can follow the session.
Cardioid, figure eight or omni
Cardioid is most sensitive to sound from the front and greatly attenuates sound from behind. It suits single instruments or vocals within a group. Figure eight hears front and back, suited as a reporter mic for two speakers. Omni picks up from all directions, for a natural sounding recording or several sources around the microphone.

Calm the rumble and the kick
The low-cut filter removes subsonic noise, snapping and wind sounds. The -10 dB attenuation switch is recommended for loud impulse sources, such as a bass drum.

Ready on the stand
The C-3 needs +48 V phantom power, and an LED on the microphone lights up when it is supplied. Contact points are gold-plated throughout, and an adapter for the microphone stand is included. Frequency response is 40 Hz to 18 kHz.
