A direct out on every mono channel.
The band nails the last chorus, and you know this take is worth keeping. You want it in separate parts, not one stereo file. The kick, the bass and every vocal each get their own track. The X2442USB has a direct output on each mono channel. Patch them into a multitrack recorder and capture several tracks at once.
Ten microphone inputs, each one shaped
Ten XENYX mic preamps give up to 60 dB of gain, and one switch supplies +48 V phantom power. Two of the stereo channels take microphones too. Each mono channel has a one-knob compressor and a low cut for rumble below 75 Hz. The British EQ mid band covers 100 Hz to 8 kHz.

Monitors and effects from one desk
Pre-fader aux sends feed a monitor amplifier or active monitor speakers. The band's monitor balance holds while you move the faders. The built-in 24-bit processor adds reverb, delay or modulation from 16 presets.

The mix, or every part of it
Four subgroups can feed a second console or a recorder. USB sends the main mix to your computer and returns playback to the desk, with no driver needed. Tomorrow, the kick, the bass and every vocal from that last chorus are there to mix again.
