MX882 V2

8-channel line splitter and mixer converting -10 dBV to +4 dBu, with XLR and ¼" TRS connections

Where to buy MX882 V2 (0602-AAG)

One feed out to six, or six sources down to one.

The conference starts in ten minutes. The stream, the overflow room and the recorder all want the same feed. Tomorrow, a keyboard player needs six instruments down to one stereo pair. MX882 V2 handles both jobs, channel by channel, in one 19" unit.

One switch sets each channel's job

Set a channel to SPLIT, and the main stereo input feeds that channel's mono output. The balance control sets how much left and right it carries. Set it to MIX, and its mono input joins the main outputs, placed with the pan control. Split and mix channels can share the unit.

Home levels up to studio levels

Each channel's level control offers up to +15 dB of gain. That is enough to turn home recording levels of -10 dBV into studio levels of +4 dBu. LED meters show the main input, the main output and every channel. You see a level mismatch before the audience hears it.

Connections and power

Channels 1 to 4 connect on balanced XLR and channels 5 and 6 on balanced jacks. The inputs are RF-filtered and servo-balanced to keep interference out. At 1.7 kg, with an autorange supply for 100 to 240 V, the same unit goes on every tour. The conference starts on time, and the stream, the overflow room and the recorder all have it.
