The show goes live in five minutes, and three audiences are waiting on you. The band wants its monitors and the room wants its mix. The presenter must hear everything except their own voice. WING is a 48-channel digital console with 24 faders, and two engineers can share it. The four-fader section on the right works independently of the rest.
Three fader sections, each with a role
The 12 faders on the left usually carry input channels. The eight in the centre control buses and DCAs. The four on the right take main buses, matrices or chosen inputs. Every bank can be configured the way you work.
Two engineers work without waiting
Above the right-hand bank, four knobs and four buttons adjust those channels without selecting them. While you ride the band, a colleague looks after the panel discussion. Neither of you waits for the other.
A mix for every listener
Each of the 48 channels takes a mono or stereo source. Eight matrix buses build zone mixes. Phase-invert a matrix's two direct inputs, and the presenter hears everything but their own voice. When the panel talks at once, automix keeps up to 16 microphones at an even level. The show goes live, and the band, the room and the presenter each hear their own mix.
