SD16

Stage box with 16 remote-controllable Midas preamps, 8 outputs, AES50 networking and an ULTRANET monitoring hub

Where to buy SD16 (0606-ACO)

Your stage inputs, a network cable away from the desk.

The mixing position is at the far end of the hall, and the band is at the front. The SD16 puts 16 Midas-designed preamps at the stage edge. AES50 links it to the mixer over CAT-5e, for runs up to 100 metres.

Guitar and bass straight in

Inputs 15 and 16 accept high-impedance signals for direct connection of guitars and basses. Every combo input takes XLR or ¼" plugs. Phantom power of 48 V is switchable per input.

Four personal mixers, no extra power supplies

Up to 4 P16-M personal mixers plug into the SD16's ULTRANET ports. The ports power them too.

A digital snake, with or without a console

It is commonly used with an X32 or M32 console, linked over AES50. Used standalone with an S16 or DL16 master unit, gain and phantom power respond to MIDI. A second SD8 or SD16 connects to AES50 port B. Its output switch then picks a different group of 8 channels for its XLR outputs.
