Put the preamps with the band, not the desk.
Load-in starts, with 32 microphones on stage and the console at the back of the hall. Leave the heavy multicore behind. S32 puts 32 Midas-designed preamps beside the performers, with their gain set from the console. One shielded Cat-5e cable, up to 100 m long, carries 48 channels each way.
The stage end of your system
Switch 48 V phantom power per input, with an LED on each channel to show it. Sixteen balanced XLR outputs bring the mixes back to the stage. From the stage box, through the console and back out, the trip takes 1.1 ms.

Share every stage microphone between two consoles
Your mixer connects to AES50 port A as the clock master. Port B takes a second console or more stage boxes, such as an S16. Front of house and monitors then share every microphone on that stage.

Feeds beyond the console
The Ultranet port sends 16 channels to an optional Behringer P16 personal monitoring system. Two ADAT and two AES/EBU outputs feed external digital equipment. Replugging with the PA still on? Hold MUTE ALL while you patch. At load-out, you coil one cable, not a multicore.
