A wall of jacks can stop an idea before it becomes sound. On the 2600, you play first and patch when curiosity takes over. The panel shows every connection made at the factory. A level slider above each one sets how much signal passes. Push a 3.5 mm cable into the jack above a label and your connection takes its place.
Oscillators that also modulate
Three VCOs each span 0.03 Hz to 40 kHz. An AUDIO/LF switch turns any of them into a low-frequency oscillator. Sync VCO2 and VCO3 to VCO1 and they act as one large oscillator. The 4-pole low-pass filter switches between two circuits, 4012 and 4072. The filter rings in response to sharp pulses.
Circuits for stranger sounds
A ring modulator turns VCO1 and VCO2 into exotic timbres. The noise generator offers white, pink or low-frequency noise. Feed an outside signal into the preamp. The envelope follower turns its level into control for the filter, amplifier or oscillators.
Played from a keyboard or a computer
A keyboard, sequencer or computer plays it over 5-pin MIDI or class-compliant USB MIDI. DUO mode plays two voices at once. Optional footswitches latch an interval or switch portamento. Every cable you add is an idea of your own.
