Percussion you build from two oscillators.
The track needs a rhythm that belongs to it. Build the hit yourself, then shape every step by hand. On EDGE, a metallic ring, a hiss or a tuned hit starts from two analogue oscillators and a noise source. Press play and the dual 8-step sequencer turns that sound into a pattern you can build a track on.
Where the metallic ring comes from
VCO 1 covers ten octaves. Hard sync gives complex metallic sounds, and oscillator 1 can modulate oscillator 2. Add bright white or darker pink noise. The 24 dB/octave ladder filter works in high-pass or low-pass mode.

Eight steps, each with its own feel
Every step has its own pitch knob and velocity knob. Velocity sets how strongly the envelopes act on that step. A pattern breathes instead of hitting the same way eight times. With the sequencer stopped, the trigger button replays the current step while you fine-tune it.

Patch one part into another
Send the velocity output to the FM amount input and FM tones rise and fall with the sequence. Patch the pitch output into VCA decay and each step rings for its own length. Both oscillators take 1 V/octave CV. MIDI plays the sounds, and MIDI, USB or an external clock can drive the sequencer. The rhythm under your track is one you built yourself.
