Thirty-eight modules, waiting for your first patch.
Some sounds only appear when you connect things yourself. The SYSTEM 55 arrives as a complete modular synthesiser: 38 modules in 2 EURORACK GO cases. Through the CM1A MIDI interface, an external MIDI keyboard controls pitch and triggers notes.
Three rows, every part of a voice
The top row holds the 904A low pass and 904B high pass filters and the 914 fixed filter bank. It also has 911 envelope generators and 902 VCAs. The middle row carries the 921B oscillators, the 960 sequential controller and the MIDI interface. The bottom row adds CP3A mixers, attenuators, a 903A random signal generator and a 962 sequential switch.

Start from a patch, then make it yours
The guide walks through patches such as Space Rock, Mellow Organ and Harmonic Sequence. In Space Rock, set Regeneration on the 904A to 9 or 10 and the filter self-oscillates. In Harmonic Sequence, the 960 plays two eight-note sequences that are harmonically related.

Give it time to warm up
Allow 30 minutes or more before recording or a live performance, longer if it came in from the cold. The precision circuits then reach their normal operating temperature and tuned performance. Two power adaptors are supplied.
