UB-Xa

16-voice analogue polyphonic synthesiser with dual VCFs and a 61-key poly aftertouch keyboard

Where to buy UB-Xa (0722-AAF)

The 1980s polysynth, with a little drift built in.

Hold a chord. The brass swells with the slight instability heard on old records. On an old synthesiser, that character comes from ageing parts, and sometimes the instrument stops working. UB-Xa brings the 1980s polysynth up to date. It emulates that ageing without the failures.

Choose how old it sounds

Eight Atrophy profiles range from OB-Xa and OB-8 to Creamy and Gnarly. Save a profile with each patch. Finer drift settings sit in the Voice menu.

Sixteen voices, two sounds at once

Each of the 16 voices has two analogue oscillators. Switch the filter between 2-pole and 4-pole. Split the keyboard for bass on the left and brass on the right. Or double two patches into one layered sound. The 61-key keyboard responds to poly aftertouch.

Ready for the set

512 patch memories hold your sounds, and every patch stores a 64-step sequence. An arpeggiator is built in, and MIDI over DIN and USB links it to the rest of your rig. Vibrato and filter pedals are sold separately.
