WAVE

8-voice hybrid wavetable synthesiser with analogue VCF and VCA and 49 semi-weighted keys with velocity and aftertouch

Where to buy WAVE (0722-ABD)

Sweep a sound from one waveform to the next.

Some sounds should keep changing while you hold the note. On the WAVE, envelopes and LFOs sweep through wavetables of 64 single-cycle waveforms. Each of the eight voices then runs through an analogue VCF and VCA.

Start from 30 wavetables, then load your own

The 30 factory wavetables range from bells and organ registers to vocal formants. Fill 64 user wavetable slots and 32 transient slots with your own material through the SynthTribe app. Two banks of 100 programs give you somewhere to begin.

Rough edges, or smooth ones

Moving between waveforms can create the artefacts that gave the first wavetable synthesisers their distinctive sound. Keep them, or engage the Osc setting in the User menu. Adjacent waveforms then morph together for smoother transitions.

Play it, layer it, send each voice out

The 49 semi-weighted, full-size keys respond to velocity and aftertouch. Play 8-voice polyphony, unison or two layered timbres. Eight channel outputs give each voice its own jack, while the voices still feed the main outputs.
